Love, As serene as the Tranquil Sea

When the roaring waves of the ocean embrace the darkness,

And the sky without the moon stretches its hand towards the infinity,

When the raindrop of the Swati star merges into a pearl,

Your radiant face shines brightly in my sight, before my eyes.

Like the morning sun awakening dew-kissed grass,

You're the dewdrop in my desolate mind's expanse,

Transcending the barriers of time, you have become the pole star of my life.

I’m aware, my love for you transcends all strife.

I admit, I dread your absence in my existence,

Yet, there's a deeper fear that persists profoundly.

More than the pain of losing you, I dread the thought,

Of you surrendering to a life that's limited and caught

That you might settle for a life that's strange.

Like a pond bird content in a tranquil lake's embrace,

I fear you'll lose the desire for life's adventurous chase.

But I yearn for you to explore, to swim beyond the known,

To seek new horizons, to call the vast oceans your own.

Like the Yamuna merging with the Ganges, losing its name,

I don't want my love to erase your very being,

Turn towards the ocean, embrace its boundless frame,

Become the pearl traversing seas, foreseeing,

And like a tranquil sea, I'll await you, where our love began.
